Hi Al, Works here - note must be run from the same directory as the running copy of squid... ie if squid is started from e:\squid\sbin, 'squid -k shutdown' must also be run from e:\squid\sbin. |

Hi, Works here - but here's a few things to check: Check that the ../etc/squid.conf file has a valid setting for pid_filename - it defaults to /squid/var/logs/squid.pid - this directory must exist. Also check that this file, if it already exists, is deleted before you start Squid. You can also try giving it a drive letter, e.g. e:/squid/var/logs/squid.pid If this is still not the problem, I noticed you may not be using the standard OS/2 shell, CMD.EXE. Try it with CMD.EXE and see if that makes any difference... Hope this helps... |
