Summary | 0000576: Can't print last page from qt4 apps
Description | Using qpdf, made a ticket at svn.netlabs qt4apps about not able to print properly(Ticket 0000055 ). To use qpdf i needed to install cups again, tried it a long time ago, but installed ecomstation new, so all old configuration is gone. Newest version of cups installed (cups-base-1_4_8_3.wpi with needed additional packages) Installed went smooth, no problems. Printing from qpdf or any other qt4 application leeds to the situation that I can print all pages except the last page! (if there is only 1 page nothing is printed). Installed cups with two printers: kyocere 1030d Hp2200 the first tested with gutenprint and own ppd file. hp2200 tested with gutenprint. both have the same problem. Both also are connected to a wireless lan with a printserver. Strange minor problem is that both printers can print duplex, but mostly not with cups, I can select duplex, but all prints are most of the time printed on one side. Using a printer attached to the cups port and printing with an os/2 application, gives no problems (all pages are printed) I made a copy of the error log and put it on the svn.netlabs.org/qtapps/ticket/55 If you need other information please let me know.

try replacing \cups\lib\cups\filter\pdftops.exe with the one at http://smedley.id.au/tmp/pdftops.zip I haven't tested this, but it's a hunch |
Tested it, but now, it doesn't print at all. according to the jobs log: stopped "Empty print file!" but size is 464K |
OK, my 1st guess was wrong. try replacing \cups\bin\pdftops.exe with the one at http://smedley.id.au/tmp/pdftops.zip Tested as fixing PDF printing here |
I believe this is resolved with the new pdftops |
Printing works fine now. Thanks! one issue remains. Cups won't print duplex! Printer prints duplex with os/2 driver. Cups also says it can. Printing from qpdf with duplex selected (default value in cups ) and selected in the application, but no duplex is printed. |
please open a separate ticket for duplex. My HP printer supports duplex, and it definitely duplex prints from linux. I will do some testing and see if I can reproduce. |
