seems to work ok for me with mysql.exe from 5.1.67 and 5.1.68 |

I believe this is ok in 5.1.68 - at least for mysql.exe If it still isn't doing what you expect, please reopen the ticket |

Yes, it appears that 5.1.68 is OK. FWIW, it also appears that the history storage format may have changed. History saved by older versions of mysql.exe came back with odd octal escapes and ^M EOL characters. |
