Summary0000052: Squid v2.6STABLE1 (20060705) launches another set of redirectors on SQUID -K RECONFIGURE (e.g. old ones not shut down)
DescriptionHi Paul,

When using your last available SquidGuard 1.2.0 build (Dec '05), Squid can successfully start the redirectors. However, upon issue of SQUID -K RECONFIGURE, Squid starts up an entirely new set of redirectors (spawned via another copy of SQUID, see bug 000051) but does not close down the previous set of redirectors.

This causes a lot of extra system memory to be used, and with enough SQUID -K RECONFIGURE's issued, system memory will run out.

It would seem that Squid has a problem closing the handles/sockets of the redirectors.
Additional InformationAnother up-to-date build of SquidGuard using Libc-061-CSD1 should also be tried to see if the problem exists. Previous versions of SquidGuard (EMX) do not run at all.

I have set redirect_program in Squid.conf and have 10 redirectors configured.

Same problem with squidguard built with latest libc. I think this is related to ticket 51 in the ipc code
