Summary0000492: Hidden windows in Scribus after changing windows in ePager
DescriptionIn one ePager window I have Scribus running, in the other I have FF with Scribus Quick Start Guide.
If I in the Scribus window open Help>About Scribus I get up the splash screen. I then switch to the FF window to read more info and then switch back to Scribus window. Then the splash screen is hidden behind the main Scribus window and I can't get it on the top of the main window. As I can't do anything in the main Scribus window before I have closed the Splash screen I am stuck. Either I have to remember to make the main window very small before open the Splash screen or I have to move the Splash screen to a third ePager window or I have to kill the process.
This is the situation for many subscreens in Scribus, not only the Splash screen.

I'll wager this is a Qt problem.

Hopefully it's addressed by Qt 4.7 which I'll use when the next Scribus release candidate is out.

rc6 is due out any day, however I'll be overseas on holiday from October 9 - 19 so it will have to wait until I return.

From Dmitry: "this was fixed in the latest 4.7.3 release"

Please test with next Scribus build that will use 4.7.3

This should be fixed in 1.4.0.rc6 which uses/needs Qt 4.7
